IT WAS A MUDBATH!! On Thursday, October 3, 2019, the West Bend East Girls Cross Country team ran at the Slinger Invitational at a very muddy and sloppy Homestead Hollow County Park. The Sun’s varsity placed 2nd scoring 83 points trailing first place Slinger by 18 points. Alison Klostermann (3rd, 21:09), Rose Cleven (11th, 21:43), and Ava Cahoon (14th, 21:57) led the way on varsity. The Sun’s top three runners were followed by a pack of Sun’s runners led by Sarah Stapelfeldt (26th, 22:43) and followed by Margaret Rusch (29th, 22:48) and Alexis Gugliotti (30th, 22:52). The Sun’s junior varsity placed 1st with 31 points. Kenzie Schmitz (2nd, 23:12), Anna Sajdak (3rd, 23:25), Bella Falk (7th, 25:14), Lauren Hull (11th, 25:21) and Hannah Fowler (13th, 25:29) led the Sun’s Junior Varsity.
